About TriPeaks Solitaire

TriPeaks is the fast, streak-chasing cousin of classic solitaire. Twenty-eight cards form three mountain peaks, with only the bottom row face up. Play any uncovered card that is exactly one rank higher or lower than the card on the waste pile, whatever its suit, and keep going: 7, 8, 9, 8, 7… Each card in an unbroken streak is worth more than the last.

When you run out of plays, turn a new card from the deck, but that breaks your streak. Clear a peak for a bonus, clear all three to win, and save cards in the deck for an even bigger reward. The classic game lets Kings and Aces connect; the strict mode does not, and the three-minute rush keeps dealing new boards until the clock runs out.

How to play

  1. Tap a face-up card that is one higher or lower than the waste card.
  2. Cards flip over when nothing covers them any more.
  3. Longer streaks score more for every card. Drawing from the deck resets the streak.
  4. Clear all 28 cards to win; leftover deck cards add a bonus.

About TriPeaks Solitaire

TriPeaks was invented by Robert Hogue in 1989 and quickly became a favourite because it is fast, bright and full of streaks. The aim is to clear three peaks by playing cards one higher or lower than the open card.

Tips to score higher

  • Look ahead before every play: choose the card that opens the most new cards.
  • Long streaks score much more, so plan a path up and down the ranks.
  • Save cards in the deck for the end-of-board bonus.
  • Peaks are worth a bonus, so dig towards the top cards.
