Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains how PlayNovarc ("PlayNovarc", "we", "us" or "our") handles information when you visit playnovarc.com and play our games (the "Service"). It applies to all pages and games on the Service. By using the Service you acknowledge the practices described here.

1. Who we are

PlayNovarc is an independent games website operated by an individual developer based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who acts as the data controller for the limited information described below. You can reach us at contact@playnovarc.com.

2. Information we do not collect

You do not need an account to use the Service. We do not ask for, and do not knowingly collect, your name, postal address, phone number, date of birth, government identifiers, payment details or precise location. There are no chat features, user uploads or public profiles.

3. Information stored on your device

To make the games work, the Service saves a small amount of data in your browser's local storage under keys that begin with nova:. This includes:

• your language, sound and music preferences;
• your best scores, top five results and last chosen mode for each game;
• your experience points, level, medals, daily-challenge progress, play streak and the list of games you played recently.

This data is created and kept on your device only. It is not sent to us, we cannot see it, and it is not linked to your identity. You can delete it at any time by clearing the site data for playnovarc.com in your browser settings, or by using "Reset progress" in your profile panel on the site.

4. Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information when your browser requests a page: your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system type ("server logs"). These logs are used only to deliver pages, keep the Service secure, prevent abuse and diagnose errors. They are retained for a limited period according to our hosting provider's standard practices and are not used to identify individual visitors.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use the Service: for example which pages and games are opened, how long visits last, which device type, browser and approximate location (country or city) are used, and how visitors arrived at the site. Google Analytics uses cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) and similar technologies to collect this information. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. We use these statistics only in aggregate form, to improve our games and pages, and we do not use them to identify individual visitors. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.

5. Advertising and cookies

The Service is free because it is supported by advertising. We use, or may use, Google AdSense to display ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

• You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info or, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.eu.

Where required by law, for example for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent message will ask for your permission before personalised advertising cookies are used, and you can change your choice later. 6. How we use information

We use the limited information described above to: operate and display the Service; remember your preferences and game progress on your device; keep the Service secure and prevent abuse; fix bugs and improve performance; show advertising that funds the Service; and respond to messages you send us.

7. Legal bases

Where data-protection laws such as the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation apply, we rely on: our legitimate interests in running a secure and reliable website (server logs); your consent for personalised advertising cookies where consent is required; and the steps needed to respond to your requests when you contact us.

8. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that help us run the Service, namely our hosting provider and advertising partners such as Google, under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety and security of the Service and its users.

9. International transfers

Our hosting provider and advertising partners may process information on servers located outside your country. Where this happens, they apply safeguards required by applicable law.

10. Data retention

• Local storage data: kept on your device until you clear it.
• Server logs: kept for a limited period by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.
• Emails you send us: kept only as long as needed to answer you and handle any follow-up, and deleted within 12 months unless we need them to resolve a dispute.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under the Saudi Personal Data Protection Law, the GDPR and US state laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to access or correct it, to ask us to delete it, to object to or restrict certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Because we do not hold accounts or profiles, most data about your use of the Service stays on your own device, where you control it directly. To make a request, email contact@playnovarc.com with the subject "Privacy request". We will respond within 30 days and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

12. Children's privacy

The Service is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Security

The Service is delivered over an encrypted HTTPS connection and does not ask you for sensitive information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the Service and the limited information we handle.

14. Links to other websites

Ads and links on the Service may take you to websites we do not operate. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to read.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it last changed. Significant changes will be highlighted on the Service.
