How to use the Baloot calculator
Type your team names, or keep Us and Them. After each hand, choose Hokom or Sun, then enter the points each team scored and press Add the hand. The totals, the progress bars and the list of hands update at once, and the calculator announces the winner as soon as a team passes 152.
Counted the card points (abnat) instead? Type your team's card points in the first box and the calculator turns them into hand points for both teams, using the same rounding Baloot players use. Then tap the project buttons to add a Sira, 50, 100, 400 or Baloot to either team, or tap Kaboot when one team takes every trick.
Made a mistake? Undo last removes the last hand. Your game is saved on this device, so you can close the page and carry on later.
How Baloot scoring works
- Hokom (a trump suit): the cards and the last trick are worth 162 card points, which make 16 hand points. Divide your card points by 10, rounding 5 down: 65 is 6 points and 66 is 7.
- Sun (no trumps): the cards and the last trick are worth 130 card points, which make 26 hand points. Double your card points and divide by 10, rounding to the nearest whole number. An exact 5 stays as it is: 65 is 13.
- The other team gets the rest: in Hokom 16 minus your points, in Sun 26 minus your points.
- If the buyer's team ends the hand with fewer points than its opponents, the buyer has lost: the other team takes all the hand points and the projects.
- The first team to reach 152 wins the game.
