About Nonogram
Nonogram, also called Picross or Griddlers, is a logic puzzle where numbers tell you how many filled cells each row and column holds, in order. A clue of 3 1 means a run of three filled cells, at least one gap, then a single cell. Combine the row and column clues to work out every square and reveal a hidden picture.
Every puzzle is freshly generated and checked by a line solver, so it can always be finished with pure logic and no guessing. Start with 5×5, move on to 10×10, and master the big 15×15 boards against the clock.
How to play
- Tap a cell to fill it. Switch to the ✕ tool, or right-click, to mark cells you know are empty.
- Drag across a row or column to paint several cells at once.
- Clues turn green when their line is complete. Hints add 20 seconds.
About Nonogram
A Nonogram, also called Picross or paint-by-numbers, is a picture logic puzzle that appeared in Japan in the late 1980s. The numbers beside each row and column give the lengths of the filled blocks in that line; solve them all and a picture appears.
Tips to score higher
- Start with the biggest clues: a 7 in a 10-cell row always fills the middle 4 cells.
- Mark cells you know are empty with ✕; they matter as much as filled cells.
- Lines with a 0 or with clues that add up to the full width solve themselves.
- Switch between rows and columns; each new cell gives information to the crossing line.
