About Block Drop

Block Drop is a falling-block puzzle built for speed and precision. Rotate and slide the seven shapes as they fall, fill complete rows to clear them, and keep the stack from reaching the top. Clearing four rows at once scores the most.

It plays like the modern versions: a ghost piece shows where the block will land, you can hold a piece for later, the next four pieces are shown, and pieces come from a fair seven-bag. Play Marathon for a high score, race 40 lines in Sprint, or score as much as you can in a two-minute Ultra.

How to play

  1. ← → move, ↑ or X rotate clockwise, Z rotate counter-clockwise.
  2. ↓ soft drop, Space hard drop, C or Shift to hold a piece.
  3. On touch screens drag to move, tap to rotate and flick down to drop.
  4. Clear rows back to back for combo points.

About Block Drop

Block Drop is a falling-block puzzle in the tradition that began in 1984: rotate and place the pieces to complete full rows, which then disappear. It includes hold, hard drop and three competitive modes.

Tips to score higher

  • Keep the stack flat and leave one column open on the side for long I-pieces.
  • Use Hold (C or Shift) to save an awkward piece or the long bar for later.
  • Look at the next pieces in the preview and plan two moves ahead.
  • Avoid covering holes; one buried gap can cost several lines.
  • Use hard drop (Space) once a piece is aligned to save time in Sprint.
